Membership Benefits

Membership in the Short Wing Piper Club, a non-profit Delaware Corporation, is open to all persons who own, fly or are interested in the Piper Vagabond, Clipper, Pacer, Colt, and Tri-Pacer. The primary objective of the club is to aid members in the preservation, restoration, maintenance, flying and enjoyment of these aircraft. Membership dues are used solely to cover operating expenses and the cost of publishing and mailing the Short Wing Piper News.

Short Wing Piper News

A subscription to the Short Wing Piper News is one of our many SWPC membership benefits. The Short Wing Piper News is the quarterly publication of the Short Wing Piper Club. Known as The Voice of the Short Wing Piper, the book-style magazine contains tons of great information, much of which can’t be found elsewhere on the SWPC Website, including Regional Chapter Reports, Technical Corner articles and the always popular Membership Report.

Membership in SWPC gets you the following:

  • Subscription to Short Wing Piper News magazine – a quarterly publication acknowledged as probably the best aviation type club magazine around.
  • Access to the SWPC Lending Library which includes a large selection of specialized tools and complete engineering blueprints for Short Wing Piper aircraft.
  • Access to the SWPC website which, in addition to the SWPC Discussion Forums available to all, includes an exclusive members-only subscriber e-mail list, the SWPC Classified Ads, and the SWPC Technical Maintenance Archives, a large on-line library of Short Wing Piper related maintenance documents.

You do not have to own a Short Wing Piper to enjoy membership in the SWPC. The SWPC is open to all persons who own, fly or are interested in the Piper Vagabond, Clipper, Pacer, Colt, and Tri-Pacer.

Dues and donations to the club and club library are not tax deductible. Donations to the Education Foundation are tax deductible.

Membership Levels

There are two types of membership levels: Individual and Family. Family Memberships are two memberships in one. They are convenient if you have a spouse or partner who would also enjoy member benefits under your account. One Short Wing Piper News will be sent to you per account.

With either level, you can choose to receive The Short Wing Piper News online only or to a mailbox within the USA, Canada, or to a country outside of those.
