The Jim Gardner Memorial Chili Feed Fly-In will be held December 3 at the Vinita (Oklahoma) Airport in the hangar of Jim Reed (SWPC member) which is just east of Jim Gardner’s big hangar and is located on the southwest corner of the taxiway.
As many of our members know, Jim died this fall. He was the driving force for the annual chili dinner held at Vinita. Although he loved to socialize, over the last few years, as his health deteriorated, he didn’t have the energy to put it on, Reed said. “A few of the Vinita pilots have gotten together and want to have a memorial feed on the traditional date of December 3,” he added.
